Suno recently released model v5, and it finally fixes some of the problems that were introduced 10 months ago. I’m going back through my older catalog from the v3 / v3.5 era to give those songs a proper update.

It isn’t quick work. About 90% of Suno’s output still ends up discarded, and I keep generating until I find something that matches my intent. But when it does, I think the results are worth it.

Doing this kind of project takes patience, and most of the time this is an extraordinarily lonely effort. When I started, I had at least a little support, but that’s faded over time. I’m still here, though, and still making something that matters to me.

If you’re one of the maybe 2½ people who actually care about this, here’s your chance: if there’s an older song you’d like me to prioritize for a v5 update, let me know. I'll be pleasantly shocked and astounded. Even a single request is enough to move it to the front of the line.

If I get no replies, that’s not unexpected. I'll just keep working through them in whatever order strikes me.
