So if you are watching me, you've probably noticed I haven't posted anything in like, a year. I'm dealing with depression and personal issues, and I've lost my will to art. I don't know when I'll get back to drawing, or even if I will get back to drawing.

You guys deserved some kind of heads up long before now, sorry about being silent for so long.

Happy new year everyone. Sorry for posting so little last year, 2017 didn't exactly go how I intended on the art front. I am going to make an effort to both draw more and post more this year.

Hey so, its kinda been a while since I posted any new art. I've been getting very stuck on working on some personal stuff. I thought maybe doing some simple pokemon smut might help get me moving again. So I decided why not pick a few pokemon that I'd like to draw and have a poll to see what my watchers would like to see.

The choices were picked from a list of pokemon I feel are under drawn using random.org, simply leave a comment on this journal with which one you would like to see, and whether you want them to be male or female. Whatever has the most votes when I check tomorrow I'll draw. I don't expect there to be many votes, so if you are reading this and vote, you will likely get what you want.

This year, I'm my own valentine. For anyone else out there who is single: don't let this commercialized holiday get you down. Give the person who matters most some love, yourself. I'm challenging myself in december to do at least one 30 minute or more sketch every day.

Ugh.. :(

So there is this idea I've had for years for a, I guess it would be a pokemon comic, and recently while listening to a podcast about art it got me thinking about it again. I realized that its something I really want to make, and I might have the skills to actually make it. Its not something overly fancy or ambitious in general art terms, but its ambitious for me. I've never really created something that was more long form than just a single image, so that's a pretty intimidating prospect to me. I might just fall flat on my metaphorical face. :S At the same time, thinking about it excites me and makes me want to draw more.

I'm rambling and not sure where I'm going with this journal, so I'll stop it here. I guess I just needed to put my thoughts out there.

I'm visiting my family for two weeks. Just in case anyone wonders why I'm not around in streams or skype.

So today marks 20 years since the original gameboy pokemon games released in Japan. When the games came across the ocean to the states my brother and I each recieved one version as gifts and soon was born a rivalry. Who could raise the strongest team? Who would beat the elite 4 first? We didn't stay competitive with each other over it for long though, soon finding trading with each other more valuable.

Ever since pokemon has been a part of my life, each new generation bringing with it new friends and new adventures. Some of the hardest times in my life were made more bearable by my little monster companions, as well as real friends I met because of pokemon.

So thank you Game Freak, Nintendo, and especially creator Satoshi Tajiri, for sharing 20 years of adventures and wonder with us.

Holy crap Disney is remaking Pete's Dragon. o_o He was one of my dragon loves as a small child.

I really hope it turns out well, from the trailer it looks like they are going in a different direction with the story, which is probably good. No point remaking a movie and just doing it exactly the same.

I made it my goal this year to show some kind of improvement in drawing artwork. Maybe I might even get the confidence to actually post something.
