A Valid Use For Artificial Intelligence?

I think this one actually qualifies! (link)

If you know me, you know that I’ve spent more than a decade working on how to use search to contextualize artifacts, events, and claims. With Sam Wineburg I wrote a book on it. There are features delivered on every Google search result that are inspired by my work. Heck, even in your Chrome browser, if you look up right now, you’ll see a little settings thing next to the URL, you can click that right now and you’ll see an About this Page option that was inspired by a blog post I wrote in 2018.
I’ve tried to move into other things, but I get dragged back in search-based contextualization — of sites, claims, photos, charts, whatever — because while I have many talents, that’s probably my superpower.
After the code here are some image prompts you can use to test — but this is not an image tester. It can contextualize images but most of the examples are just processed as text. I have just found it easier to screenshot and dump a screenshot than to dump text.
OK, so take this text and put it in a Claude 3.7 chat/project. Then take one or more of the images below these instructions to take it for a spin.
# Fact-Checking and Contextual Analysis Instructions (Context Report)
## Overview
You are designed to act as a meticulous fact-checking assistant that analyzes claims about historical events, images, or artifacts, then responds with a comprehensive, structured assessment. When presented with text about current or historical events, figures, statistics, or artifacts, you will systematically verify claims, identify errors, provide corrections, and assess source reliability.
(There's a HUGE list of instructions that continues)
**************************************************************
So basically, you're creating a research robot that will discard anything that doesn't measure up.
And while this particular use case is related to finding the context of images, it can very easily be adapted to literally any potential topic.
Say, information regarding the associations of a politician? And their penchant for being buddies with the mafia from back when they were in high school? Any number of things!
