My second yarn tail, but the first one intended for sale.

The goal is to get them down to a consistent size, where the primary color requires as close to one skein as I can make it. Slightly under one skein would be best. That way I can better calculate production costs, and I won't have a bunch of partial skeins laying around.

Unfortunately, this one took about a skein and a third. It's 25" long and 9' wide where the purple meets the white.

The next one after this will be significantly smaller because I'd like it to use slightly less than the remaining purple. But I'm keeping notes, and I'll get it narrowed down to something more consistent.


This one will be for sale. I need to do a little more trimming first, inside where the wind isn't pushing it around while I trim. And then I need to get a bunch of better photos.

I hope to have 6-8 of these for AC. But I will be listing them on Etsy as I make them.

Notes:
1/2 skein white, apx 50 tufts, cut on the 1x6 form
1 skein purple, apx 120 tufts, cut on the 1x6 form
1/4 skein purple, apx 40 tufts, cut on the 2x4 form
80 strand core, cut to 23", 4 strand braid (very loose),finished core length 20"
Results: 25" long, 9" wide
Next experiment: Reduce core count, reduce core length, reduce tuft length
