Yesterday was the day I took it all personally
All the news, all the events. The war
A little bit of context
There was a radiostation "Echo of Moscow" I grew up with, like for real. Since the early childhood until yesterday I've been litstening to it. Almost every day. I grew with these voices in my head.
I’ve been listening to the “Treasure Island” radio-tale as a kid, I’ve heard The Beatles for the first time right there as a teen, I’ve started to find out what’s going on in my own country an it’s regime as young adult. Only with the help of those smart and brave people.
Mostly it was a political and social media radiostation, yeah, no doubt. Weather it was a free media or not is not my duty to judge.
However, this station was the one and only (as I know) which broadcated the events duiring the days USSR was falling apart. It was on air from 1991. 24/7 except for technical breaks late at night.
There was at leats always a spot for a guest with a different views.
But our government is feared. Feared of brave people telling truth. Or having their own thoughts and view on things.
From March 3rd there is silence in FM-91.2 - frequence that was used by this station all these years.
And from March 4th it no longer exists.
It's my personal pain, my personal rage and my personal hope. Hope that I'll hear the Echo back again when my country finally finds peace and speech freedom.

A bit of a darker humor atop of this
We had “Radio Freedom” or “Радио Свобода” on air. Until late hours today (March 4th). It’s not broadcasted anymore.
So what are we missing?
Yup, a Freedom on air!
And yes, it’s an awful situation and such humor of mine is kinda coping mechanism. I’ll be sorry for this later
