As far as sequels go, there is a follow-up in my story "The Pacifier, Pacified".
The subtext in the first two chapters leans heavily towards showing that Susie had a very rough home life; her joy in getting a room in the cstle all to herself could be seen as either a large family crammed into a small house, or her being a neglected kid that stayed out as much as she could. I tried to thread the needle there.
