This is a piece I was commissioned to do of Usagi from Sailor Moon, only injected with Hulk blood like She-Hulk, and a member of Starfleet. A tall order but I think it turned out well.

That is quite possibly the strangest request I've ever heard of. And actually seen. It's like who ever came up with it was just picking cards from a hat. I have been watching more startrek recently though. And I think I've picked up on what the colors mean... So Blue... Means she's a nurse or something right?
I get the impression that it was based on a fan-fiction character that evolved over likely many many different stories into what we ended up with here. It seemed to make sense under those circumstances, and was fun to work with.
This was actually one of my easier commissions, since he did give me a clear idea up front what he wanted, and basically all I had to do was draw Usagi's head, She-Hulk's body, and slap a "Troi from the Next Generation pilot" uniform on her.
I much prefer that to the "I'd like to to draw a girl. . .", "no, not like that, I wanted her to have long hair and posed kind of sexy. . . ", "No, not like that. I was thinking like bent over a chair, and where's her tail? . .", "No, I wanted her to look like Angelina Jolie". . . etc. ;)
Word to the wise people, if you commission stuff, and you really do have a specific goal in mind for the piece, the artist will REALLY appreciate if you can articulate that goal as early in the process as possible. Napkin sketches and pose reference photos are vey much appreciated if you have something specific in mind. ;)
