Ninth Life
The follow-up to Transmission Lost. Fifteen years after the final chapter, and ten years after both the end of the rebellion in the Ascendancy and the alliance of the UN and the Ascendancy, a number of humans and Ailians who were involved in the rebellion remain fugitives from justice. Deirdre Flynn is a member of the Cerelan Federal Police, the preeminent law enforcement agency in human space, charged with tracking down and arresting such fugitives. Aiding her is Captain Mari Ayalis, a member of the Lirnan Royal Guards, given the same task by her own government.
