Scheduled Maintenance Reminder!
From Fender's Journal
There will be scheduled downtime when installing new equipment and we want to give users early notice to prepare for this. Our scheduled maintenance window will be Friday September 5th at 1pm ET (GMT-4). We are setting this for a three hour window and hope that everything will go as smoothly as possible. If for some reason our outage time goes over that estimate, we will be sure to inform you on our various socials and our official discord!

In other news, our Tech Team has added in some new things that need sharing! A big one being that we have taken a leap on over to Turnstile! No more having to second guess yourself if a pixel is a bike or school bus! We hope this will take the pain out of logging in for most users, we know itâs been a thorn for a while now. Rejoice!

With how well shurui was able to encapsulate over ten years of music making experience and influences into a minute and twenty-second song, it's no surprise that their tune, 'Wolf Child', was not only favored by our panel of judges, but the community, too!

Tartii brings in the summer fun with âAnime Beach Episodeâ vibes. Please go give them some love for this gorgeous piece and be sure to keep cool in all this heat! Sunscreen, hydrate, and be mindful of medications that may make being in the sun more difficult or dangerous! Self care is very important even during fun outdoor activities. Ask me how I know.
We also wanted to do a quick follow up on the Pride Event in Frederick we attended last weekend! We saw so many of you lovely beans there and had a great time with you. We hope to be at more events soon(Got any suggestions?). We promised 20% of sales would go to the Frederick Center and after counting up sales we are at $609.99 (weâll round up to $610) being donated plus the service fee so they receive the full amount. Thank you so much for allowing us to take part in this event and thanks to all of you for supporting us!

Hey there cuties!
We wanted to wish everyone a Happy Pride Month!!
It took us a bit to get this out but for good reason. We've been working on this banner to really make it a party! This month's banner is a collaboration of love~ the background designed by one of our staff artists
xaidezignz and Fender and Rednef by 
Kygen! We asked staff members that wished to participate to send in art of their characters (with artist approval if they didn't draw it) to be added to the banner to celebrate Fur Affinity being LGBTQIA+ owned and operated. The Frederick Center is an LBGTQ+ Community Center based out of Frederick, MD. The Frederick Center is a 501c3 organization that serves the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) communities. Since its inception, The Frederick Center has grown into a well-respected organization advocating and supporting our community which now proudly bolsters over 500 program events each year, focusing on everything from HIV education and support, to various LGBTQ+ support programs of various age groups, some youth programs to aging with pride (a senior group). It also provides pro bono legal assistance to the LGBTQ+ community. The Frederick Center provides 24/7 support to the community as well.
It also provides a number of social events such as the monthly Pink Drinks, and its largest event- Frederick Pride, providing a festival to over 30,000 attendees which almost makes it Maryland's largest Pride event.
So come on by on the 28th or order something from the [FA shop] and support the site and a great cause!

Welcome back to Fur Affinity in its fully functional state! Probably wondering who I am and why youâre seeing a notice from me. I'm Rednef, the OTHER(better) mascot for Fur Affinity! (If you want a refresher on why we were offline and in file read only please see the previous site announcement here.
Seems I've been a little forgotten over the years and figured I'd take this downtime to make an appearance and reintroduce myself!
I was created originally as an April Fools joke back in 2007, however the community seemed to like me enough to keep me around! Fender and I are siblings. He's had the limelight for long enough though so it's time for me to elbow my way in and step up in being more active on Fur Affinity!
While Fender will host site announcements majority of the time, I aim to host our community events and spotlights.

Welcome back to Fur Affinity in its fully functional state! Probably wondering who I am and why youâre seeing a notice from me. I'm Rednef, the OTHER(better) mascot for Fur Affinity! Seems I've been a little forgotten over the years and figured I'd take this downtime to make an appearance and reintroduce myself!
I was created originally as an April Fools joke back in 2007, however the community seemed to like me enough to keep me around! Fender and I are siblings. He's had the limelight for long enough though so it's time for me to elbow my way in and step up in being more active on Fur Affinity!
While Fender will host site announcements majority of the time, I aim to host our community events and spotlights.
âWITH THAT we are officially announcing the return of COMMUNITY BANNERS!!âPlease use the tag FABanner2025 in your tags for us to easily locate submissions!What are community banners? Well thatâs where artists submit banner ideas through the year and if chosen they will be featured as the site default banner for a minimum of a week - sometimes longer if it fits a season or holiday. There is no set amount to how many that we will choose! We may pick 3, or 12, or even 42! Please use the tag FABanner2025 in your tags for us to easily locate submissions! We ask that at least one of the mascots are featured or both of us! All banners must meet General Rating guidelines to be considered. Banner sizes are fixed at 1850x300.
