Welcoming suggestions for a web comic!
Bork bork!!
Hey floofs and floofettes, just a quick update.
I've only got a few weeks left of my studies before I'm a free dog again!!
While I was sorting through some old crap in the attic, I found two huge piles of notes/ sketches/ story boarding from a comic I started years ago.
In short, I'm re-booting it and focusing on reviving it all.
I thought it's the perfect opportunity to start a fresh. So I'm welcoming all suggestions at the moment.
Hit me up in the comments. What furry comics really stood out to you, and why? What kinda thing do you really enjoy seeing in a web comic?
Are you more pulled in by the art style, the characters, the overall plot, or a combination?
What kind of theme's do you like to read about?
*barks at a passing bus*
Come get excited with me! ^____^

10 points for effort ^^ lol
I'd suggest a theme that's not really explored as much, maybe something you've got experience with. Woof travelling the world.
Or you could do a roommates style thing -- bet that hasn't been done before -EYEROLL-
But yeah, that's the wall I've hit. Everything I've already written is ABD *uber sigh*
Oren's Forge: The premise was rather simple (not meaning that in a BAD way!) in that it's about the fight for survival in the natural world, but with anthro types instead of full-on ferals. Most predators are still dealing with prey by hunting and killing by tooth and claw, but a small group of prey animals have established a sheltered grove and even started making simple weapons in order to defend themselves. The characters are good, the art is awesome (I'm biased. I've loved BlackTeagan's art for a LONG time) and whilst a simple premise, the story doesn't get boring or predictable :) Released 1 9-panel page at a time.
House Pets: Whilst far more cartoony than my previous examples (and a simpler drawing style), Rick Griffin does some amazing work. It's often funny, there are a LOT of characters involved (and whilst you could go several pages without seeing a specific character, it's never long enough to forget about them and the 'personality' they've built up over time). Released in 3-panel chunks.
Alpha-9: Patto's werewolf comic is probably bad to mention here, as I'm werewolf-obsessed and LOVE the style she draws them in, but anyway... The art is great, the story seems good so far, and I love the way action scenes go (I'm clueless about art, but SOMETHING just makes them stand out) :D Released as 2 9-panel type pages each time.
Now, as for suggestions I'd say whatever YOU feel like doing (as even if someone gives you an amazing idea, you'll run out of steam if your heart's not in it) ;)
... However, I will mention a funny idea Nyte_Kingcheetah and I thrashed out a few years back, just for shits & giggles ;) A hair dressing parlour run by a couple of muscular, effeminate gay lions (I think our names of choice at the time were Cinnamon and ... Jasmine I think it was?) and it was owned by a gay lioness who barely tolerated their antics (and was tough and scary enough to generally keep them in line). It was certainly funnier in our heads than it sounds here :D
Thanks for the feedback/ advice. It's much appreciated ;3
I actually had 110 pages already inked. But that was 8 years ago. My art has changed a LOT since then. I also think it could be structured way better ^^ so I'm kinda restarting/ salvaging what material I can :P
No problem on the feedback :) I wasn't sure exactly what you were asking, so I just gave some examples :D Probably would've been helpful if I gave better variations, but I figured anything was better than nothing ;)
At least you can use the older work as detailed storyboards, whilst salvaging what you can :) Looking forward to the comic! :D
I think it is funny and cute while also being very sexy xD
I'm a huge fan of both, so they're definitely being included ^^
*wags* you write? ^^ *takes a wander over to your page for a sneaky peak*
I definitely agree with you there. Non-sequential comics are still really fun so long as they've got enjoyable characters/ content :3 and Im a huge fan of both humour and thought provoking proverbs, so there should be plenty of that, hehe.
Luckily, I've already got the whole plot laid out. I'm also going to give myself a head start and have the whole thing sketched out before I upload anything, so if worst comes to very worse, readers can at least get to finish the story even if it's not in full ink and coloured format ;P
