it is abhorrent the way media radicalizes things against entire peoples like this, there is so much aggressively charged propaganda it's unreal, and seeing people buy in to it so hard is depressing

I think most who say that are being hyperbolic, so they don't mean people like you. There are also many russian soldiers who don't want the war, but have no choice. And I'm pretty sure most people understand that russians aren't automatically evil.

Thankfully there are many people who understand its not all Russians causing this. Even those in the line of fire know, many having friends & family on both sides. I wish it were easier to target those responsible without hurting innocents.

I get you, and I'm really sorry for what's going on. Comfortable people usually talk a lot of crap because they haven't been through that.

Getting rid of years and years of corruption and shit leaders is almost impossible and people tend to think is a thing to do in 5 minutes. I wish you the best and please know that decent people know Russians are not enemies and just regular people trying to live regular life.

The russian people are not at fault for what is happening. And people who believe that are like putin himself: absolutely insane and fucking stupid.

People did that with the asians due to covid, indian and middle eastern people due to 9/11, and more. I rarely say anything on this site anymore or even post, but even I can't stay silent on this one.

It breaks my heart to see and hear what is going on. I love the Russian people, I've commissioned a lot of Russian artists, and they are always so sweet and wonderful to work with, you definitely included. I know what is going on isn't the fault of the Russian people. Sadly though, propaganda always tries to paint a hateful and fearful picture and some people fall for it. Now I can't talk for the whole world, but most people that I know IRL don't blame the Russian people at all for what is going on. I think more people than naught know Putin is to blame, but still, I don't think I can fully understand the pain you are going through with all this going on. I wish I was there in person to give you a big hug, but I will have to settle for a virtual one. *hug* Stay strong, my friend!

Thank God for the internet, so that I was able to meet you and so many other amazing people from Russia (and at least one person from Ukraine, who thankfully has escaped :) ). You are of the people that gave us Leo Tolstoi, who would have stopped most wars the world over, if all the nations of the world had listened to him as Ghandi did.

Нам не должно быть стыдно, что мы русские, а уж тем более мы не должны извиняться за это перед кем-то только потому, что власть решила поиграть в войну. Не мы виноваты в таком исходе, но нам, к сожалению, расхлёбывать все последствия.

Я очень переживаю за украинский народ, какие ужасы и неудобства им приходится испытывать всё это время. Соглашусь, что проблемы, которые русский народ испытывает сейчас - всего лишь трудности, которые можно пережить хотя бы потому, что это не смертельно. В отличие от Украины, где погибают люди обеих сторон. И я надеюсь, что вся эта ситуация временна. Что она закончится как можно скорее. Потому что человек не должен жить в таких условиях.

И, Юр, если ты столкнулся с травлей, просто знай, что даже если человек уверен в своей правоте, это не значит, что он прав. И я верю, что настанет день, когда человек узнает правду, осознает свои ошибки, и ему станет стыдно за всё то, что он думал и что говорил. И тогда жизнь его превратится в кошмар, из которого он будет вынужден искать выход в одиночку. Надеюсь, он справится с этим.

It's not your fault, you are not one of the agressive folks causing panic and distruction. I can tell you're passionate about what you do and create, and I'm sure you DID do all you could do. You and so many *innocent* Russians do not deserve to be cast under a stereotype due to Putin and his followers.
