"how goes it?"
"I've been better"
"I hope things get better"
"Bye"
"good bye"
so I've been advised by several long time professionals to up my rates.. By A LOT (like, double) so here's roughly what Im planning: Im going to start a new round soon, and this next round Im going to increase the base price to about 45 for a full sketch, as well as be receiving a signal boost from said professionals. Aside from that I will also attempt to simplify things: finer sketch will be included to base work (because color will be a pain without it anyway) some other items and half page pricing will scale. Discounts will also be buffed to 4, with one discount applicable per slot. I've also been advised to use google forms, but I'll try that later. Some old options will make a reappearance, as well as a new one. Ya'll might also have noticed that Im using higher resolutions and adding simple paper backgrounds
so with a bit of reworking, this is what I plan for the rates to look like next round:
BASE Additions: Defines the overall piece
Full page Sketch Base $44
Half page sketch Base $24
Add character $28
Full page Reference sheet $62
Half page Reference sheet $36
1-2 punch +ink/flats $26
Stickers +ink/flats: $12 each (limit 10)
Extra details base $16,20,24 (depends on additional complex details... i had to draw mercy once..)
BASE MODIFIERS: Adds to total base addition per piece
Ink + x0.60
Flat Color + x0.60
Shading + x0.60
to calc modifiers yourself, just take base price x by the modifier (.6). That will give the modifier price to be added to base. So an ink of full page sketch will be 26.4. You times 44 by .6 (which is 0.60, or 60%, or 3/5), and you get 26.4. Anything I can do in a sketch is an addition, and anything that requires at least a sketch is a modifier. Additions add, modifiers multiply.
I'll also attempt to work up a more formal TOS, but it's simply no NSFW generally, dont dick, slot claim etiquette, grace periods, me final say an all that.
I'll start the new commission round tomorrow, Wed 5-22-2024 at midnight 12am PST. The old commission round will close shortly before then.

Best wishes on the next round. I feel like I got my money's worth from my two commissions.
