I think it's that time again. Best of 2009 (for me)

General
Well, since it's about 2 weeks until the year is over, and I'm not expecting anything else to wow me in those 2 weeks (I could be surprised, you never know), I'd like to do my Top 10 or whatever games, movies, etc. of this year. Anyway, games first.
10) Scribblenauts: Okay, so, I had a lot of high expectations for this game since the hype for it was huge, but in the end I was disappointed. But, that's not to say it's a bad game by any means, and I had fun for the short time I had the game. It was creative and forced me to think outside the box sometimes and do some weird things to solve puzzles, but in the end I think it devolved into using the same objects over and over. Still, when I found out Cthulu was something you could create, I about shit myself.
9) Resident Evil 5: Ho hum. Good times were had for the most part, but it wasn't a show stealer like RE4 was. Sheva controls like a retarded puppy, but the retarded puppy has the advantage of not being killed by crazy zombie people and using my ammo. It's way better with someone else, and there were some truly epic moments in the game. It was worth the playthrough, may grab it again when it's even cheaper, but I couldn't hold on to it.
8) Pokemon Soul Silver: Haha, imports. I do not regret importing this game at all, whatsoever. It helps that I can read Japanese and had a guide to help fill in the blanks though. For a redux of Gold and Silver, I am pleased. Platinum I think is the best of all (for the DS at least), but Soul Silver kept me busy for a while. A long while. Lots to do, legends to catch, Eevees to raise. Waiting for it to come out in English so I can grab Heart Gold and find out what's really going on.
7) Dissidia: Final Fantasy: Okay, so, I had high, HIGH expectations for this game, and I wasn't totally let down. I think more characters would've been nice, a storyline for the villains (so you can actually level them up if you wanted to play them), and better balance would've been great, but in the end I enjoyed it. Terra and Golbez are <3
6) Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks: OMG I'm still playing this right now as we sort of speak. Anyway, Zelda with trains is good. Handheld Zelda won't be as good as Minish Cap or Link's Awakening were, ever, but this so far has been a great time. Better than Phantom Hourglass by a bunch.
5) Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story: Really, truly a fun game. Seemed a bit short though. But still, stomping around as Bowser, the entire game was just incredibly awesome. And the final battle music is superb.
4) Metroid Prime Trilogy: It's always great to play this game, and playing it with Wii controls, hey, I like'em. Not getting rid of my GC copies, but that's okay.
3) inFamous: Sucker Punch did not disappoint. I was soooo into this game. It's got a decent story, plays like a dream, lots to do (and they make sense in the context of the type of game it is too), and zapping people with lightning is so fun. I know people probably [Prototype] was better, but I don't care.
2) BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger: I loved Guilty Gear. This is better to me. I think I'm decent at it, could get better. Music is great. Looks awesome. Yeah, this game is fantastic.
1) Dragon Age: Origins: I don't care if it is generic fantasy or whatever. I don't care if people out there seem to not like it. I adore it. Alistair is my new best friend and the story has really grabbed me. Combat is so-so, but that's not what the entire game is about, so I can deal. I love this game. I'm gonna buy the OST now, because I wanna.
Honorable Mentions: Left 4 Dead 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Shadow Complex, Modern Warfare 2
Yet to play: Assassin's Creed 2, Uncharted 2
Best movie of 2009: Star Trek, 9 coming in close behind, and Princess and the Frog was damn good too. Have yet to see Fantastic Mr. Fox
I think that's all though :|
