Y'know, after my brother, sister and I went to see Paranormal Activity, I though that this was the end of good movies as we know it
seriously, that had to be the single most un-purposely funny horror movie since Wicker Man... not to mention completely lacking anything resembling a fragment of what could be mistaken for anything approaching scary.
Well, today we watched Avatar. Goddamn.
It's good... REALLY good.
It's got some of the nicest visuals I've seen, great acting, great music, creative world and creatures, etc., etc.
This is probably one of the best movies I've seen in a while, that isn't based on some comic or other past material.
No surprises, coming from the guy who brought us Terminator 1 and 2, as well as a lot of other great original movies.
I highly suggest you see this film, it's a great one and I won't spoil it for anyone! While it's not without problems (it can have some pacing issues early on, and the plot is a little predictable), these problems are pushed aside by all the fun and pure awesome this movie oozes on the audience.
