Merry Fucking Christmas to me -_-

So, you may or may not know I've had Strep Throat sense Monday. It's been absolute hell for me. Painkillers have not helped, I can't sleep much, I can barely eat anything, it's agony for me to try anything but it must be done, and I can't talk very well. So it's been awful. Last night was the worst. Drinking water felt like swallowing razorblades, it hurt so bad, and eating was simply out of the question. It was horrible. Worse than my kidney stones. I got up, called in to work because there was absolutely no way I could do my job with how awful I felt. My mom took my to urgent care. The doctor there took one look at me and said "You need to go to the Emergency Room. I think you have an abscess. You need to see an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. So my mom took me to the ER at Meriter and we got in pretty quick. The first doctor to come in looked at my throat and said "Are you sure it's an abscess, it could be mono". So a nurse came and drew some blood and set up an IV. Then the ENT came down and tortured me. He gave me 3 shots to the offending tonsil, which is an experience I never ever want to have again. When I was numbed up, he took a huge needle and searched for Puss. This hurt even with the anesthetic from before. I gagged, and there was lots of blood. He found no puss, no likely no abscess. My nurse came back and I passed out from the experience I just had. My blood test results came back and I indeed have mono AND strep throat AT THE SAME FUCKING TIME. The doc wants me to take a week off of work minimum, which I can't afford (Captel is thankfully a very physically lax job, Target though I'll have to play it by ear). So they prescribed me some better antibiotics and vicodin for the pain (Which I can tell you right now hasn't done shit). We got the prescriptions, but then my newest agony has started and it's unbearable.
Where the ENT stabbed me with the needle, it's grown very VERY red, looks pretty raw to me to be perfectly honest, and swallowing anything hurts terrible, but no single thing hurts more than another, it all hurts pretty much the same. I'm at a loss. I'm not inclined to even swallow my own saliva, I've been spitting it into a nearby cup, and eating seems like self-torture. I wish I would've asked the ENT when I could've expected this pain to go away, and frankly I wish I had called him an asshole even though he was just doing his job (Somebody has to take the blame here). I'm in pain, it fucking sucks -_- If anyone has any suggestions, let me know

Vicodin really just takes the edge off, but that's better than nothing...so even if it seems like it's not doing anything, it is. That's the only advice I have to offer. I sorry. :c
Just don't overdo it hun. I'll pay you to stay home if you really need the money. :c
Aside from that, I perscribe lots of rest and movies! Get better soon..
