I'm really not sure which one to pick. My guess is whichever has the largest friendly furry community. I picked a random server for my beta toons. Got hem all on the same one so they could use the same link shell.

eh not fussed on furry friendlyness, not like I parade it online anywho. Been downloading the patch for 9 hours and only at 29% >.> it keeps just halting for 15minutes at a time.

theres a trick to it :3 its pretty hard to write down everything but i'll try
the patcher runs via bittorrent technology
so you use that to your advantage and get a program liek µtorrent or BitSpirit
if you use vista and later go to this path:
"C:\Users\%your username%\my documents\my games\final fantasy XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\metainfo\"
right there should be a file that ends on .torrent
doubleclick that field if you ahve installed the bit torrent program
after that it should start the download process with said program and that should be a loooot faster
right after that you cut out the downloaded file and insert it into that folder
"C:\Users\%your username%\my documents\my games\final fantasy XIV\downloads\ffxiv\48eca647\patch\"
it will ask if you want to replace the file and you say yes
after that you only need to start the normal FFXIV launcher and it should recognize the patch and install away
