Well, I only got it a few days ago, so the lack of GMail contact is mostly unrelated. Nothing anyone else did, just didn't really have it running.
I did not get the PS3 version (as I don't have one), but it is pretty good. Everyone is easier to play, only a handful of half-circle inputs with no 360's or hold-to-charge moves (which means no Charlie Nash even as DLC, but ah well, I sucked as Nash anyway), and some of the more complex systems have been replaced with simpler alternatives. The lineup is great too, I haven't seen any characters yet that are as terrible as 1/3 the MvC2 cast, and the current top tiers like Dante seem mostly mortal instead of untouchable. If you enjoy fighting games, or liked the other MvC games, I'd recommend it.

I lurv playing as Ammy ever since I finally nailed down switching between the prayer beads, glaive and reflector on a whim. Trying to learn all of her advanced combos in mission mode has been pretty difficult for me though, what with my debilitating case of 'stupid fingers'.

I got five or six missions into Ammy's, and decided it wasn't relevant to my play style. The precision required on some of those combos is beyond anything I could manage in the heat of battle. Swapping Ammy's weapons does seem to be key to her, though.
At the moment, my main form of 'training' is to use Spencer online. I'm learning very quickly why you need to think about what buttons you're pressing before you press them.
