So another year goes by.....

So, another year goes by. A lot of things I have learned, and yet a lot I still have to learn. Now does that Mean I have followed the cliche that I am now older and wiser? That is good question...and the answer is simply I do not know. How can you rate on if you have become wiser or not? Do you take your experiences and judge on how you approached them? How do you know if they where even the right choice? Guess another cliche comes to mind with that, "Time will tell". Well none the less I am older. Am I closer to my goal? Getting a degree and then living in Japan for a year? Yes, but at the same time it feels like it is so far off. Just gotta keep moving forward on that front.
As for my birthday itself? It has been a good year in general. Had a good dinner with close friends and family this past weekend since my birthday is today, a work day. And so far this year has been good. I have not been hit by the normal depression I get for feeling like I have accomplished nothing. Well in truth this year I have accomplished alot; got a job in my school of study, paid off all my debt (till student loans kick in) and started to look for my first house. School wise I have been doing good at keeping my 3.8 GPA, and a 95% attendance. Now that one has been rough, there are many days I just don't want to go to school yet I still do. Working full time and school full time sucks.
Speaking of work, that is getting better too. Its becoming smoother for each issue I run into, and I will be doing more things with the company I am with. Now does that mean I will get a raise? Not yet according to my boss, but will eventually since I will be going into a position that is considered new and all the wrinkles are not ironed out yet. But I have faith in my boss to get the raise for the few of us taking on this new position.
