Happy Samhain! ^_^

Talking about music is like dancing about architecture. - Steve Martin
I'm just coming down from a wonderful 2 hour solo ritual for the pagan new year. I decided to try something a bit different, and do a Druidic ceremony. The results were fantastic. There is such a sense of peace within me right now, and I wonder why I took so long to do this.
I said a formal goodbye to my cat Patrick who passed away in January, and a goodbye to Loki, my beta that also passed on in September. An LED candle is on my window ledge as part of tradition to light the way of the souls of those who died this year toward the Summer Land. Every time I look up and see it, I smile.
The fortune for tonight was pretty spot on, from the looks of things. Every year when the veil is this thin between worlds I read the cards. This was with a deck I have had for 10 years but haven't felt confident with until tonight. It makes me look forward to the future, and gives me some insight into what's to come in the next year. If I stay on track, it should be pretty good ^_^.
Before all that though, I was handing out candy to the kids with ToeClaws and a good friend of ours at his place. It's something I look forward to every single year. The decorations at his house are lots of fun, and there's nothing like scarfing candy with your best friend between visits from the trick-or-treaters :P
So however you celebrated tonight, be it with a traditional Samhain ritual, or in a diabetic, sugar induced coma (or both, as I soon will be in one, *nom nom* ^^: ) Have a wonderful and Happy Hallowe'en!

Very nice (and touching - godspeed Patrick). :) It was a fun night, and thankfully not as chilly as last year! Easy on that candy now lest you end up levitating down from your balcony. :P

Too late. I think I was hovering a few inches off the bed when I finally went to sleep last night

You what the sad thing is about that statement... the first thing I think of is "Ooooooo... hover-toes!"

*laughs!* is it bad that I'm not surprised by that?

*chuckles* I didn't think you would be.
