For those that want info about my mom(she's in the hospital)

General
Tuesday night, we came home to find my mom collapsed on her bed. She was unable to breathe properly, she had severe headache and chest pain, and if she tried to do -anything- even move her arm or clench her fist, it caused her whole body severe pain.
We called an ambulance and got my mom admitted to the ER, they gave her some drugs and took her in for a CT, they found out she has massive blood clots in her lungs. They started her on the only treatment there is for her condition (at it's level of severity) which is this tiny bottle of anticoagulant that breaks up the blood clots, and then a 6 month cycle of blood thinners that she's going to have to be on.
The doctor was blunt.. the treatment is going to work perfectly, no matter what. It's the side effects that could kill her. Nobody can ever predict how a blood clot, especially a massive one is going to break down, if a chunk breaks off, it could go to a not so nice place and cause her damage. However, the fact that the chemical is in her blood will make any broken off piece dissolve much faster if it does.
But it also means she's still in pretty hot water until there are no clots.
Right now, my mom's in the ICU, she's feeling a bit better as long as she doesn't move... her limbs and body are so easily starved for oxygen that if she does anything more extensive than move her arms she's in pain...
because of the meds, if she says 'I'm bleeding' at least 3 people drop what they're doing and come running (the meds are that powerful)
She's responding well to the treatment, however if we'd have been another couple hours before calling, she would have died.
She'll be in the hospital anywhere from 48 hours to 2 weeks.
On the brighter side:
The people from finances came and visited her... We were nervous at first, because, well, we don't have insurance, money, jobs, anything over here...
This is how you know something truly serious has just happened.
She told us, that there's a decent, if not good chance, that because of the nature of the treatment, and the fact that we've already racked up 30k in one day, and she could be in there for two weeks... there's a goood chance that it will be 100% covered, free of charge.
