Upon reviewing the footage of the livestream (cringing the entire time), it appears that cooling isopropyl alcohol with dry ice is indeed a fair way to freeze stuff.

Finally...for those of you who were wondering...the cleanup was absolutely horrifying. There was bits of grape on the ceiling, the table is covered in lubricant, and the whole house reeks of isopropyl alcohol.
