I can't even place a sword on a table without it ending up in the ceiling when I get back.

I' a veteran Bethesada OCD'ist so I know a few tricks they don't stick in the game manual.

1. You want something on a table? Take everything off that table. Not just move, take into your inventory and dump somewhere outside the house. Otherwise the game resets those items to their original positions.

2, Trial and error, some places will constantly throw your shit everywhere, some tables,cupboards,shelves will not. Just gotta be will to find out.

But really, I'm dissapointed how hard they made in this game, when they have shit practically made to collect. New Vegas was sooo much easier with the multiple points on the objects and no room resets.

Well, Valve understands gamers. I found a bookshelf mod on the Workshop that lets you put ANYTHING on a bookshelf besides just books, but i still haven't found one for things like cabinets and desks.

Ohhhh, thats good, I like that.

Honestly, I would just get a modded house where its just full of armor mannequins, bookselves and weapon holders. I know someone has had to make it.

...it must be a reference to a book I haven't found and collected yet and seeing as I already stack my books on tables because my bookshelves are all full, I am highly suspect

It's where the dead dude's wife is a necromancer and she disguises herself as the maid and kills some Imperial agents who are trying to stop her. One is an Argonian, and she mentions that she needs an Argonian subject to test lightning torture on.
