*WARNING* I will not with hold my opinions for your comfort. They are my opinions and I shouldn't have to pamper them for you. If You don't like them, then go some where else.
So for the last month or so I have been busy working with a website that is dedicated to Role-Players on the Island of Okinawa, Japan. Setting up meeting dates and times, for those who are here on Okinawa and would like to do some RPing. I can already tell I'm the only Furre on the whole website, but oh well.
Anywho, I was asked to be the GM for the first get together, or Demo Night as we're calling it. It's only supposed to be a short and easy RP Session, with pre-made characters and everything. Now, I don't know if the guys on that website have FA Accounts or not, so I'm not going to go into too much detail but I would like to describe the campaign setting as it is a world all of my own creation.
In the beginning of time, when the God's were still trying to understand what they could do, a Plane of Existence was created for them to play with and master their powers. Legends say that there were hundreds of thousands of Gods born into this universe and the ones that are worshiped today are merely the ones who lived through the almost seemingly endless wars. This is a very ancient world, and is kept away from the rest of Planes of Existence as the creatures on this world deserve some peace and quiet from everything. Unfortunately, they haven't known peace and quiet and thus still cause wars and bloodshed.
But now, an effort is being made and seems to be thriving. The latest war was a very vicious Racial War. In which the 5 potentially strongest races all clashed in a very large scale and bloody battle. The blood of all those who died filled an entire valley and left a cursed lake of blood. The blood is so deadly that the ground it touches has died, but still refuses to absorb it. Because of this, those races have decided to sit down and talk over their differences via a very powerful and new government. The Half Kingdom-Nation
Due to their unfortunate existence, half-races have always been hunted and killed. Because they are an impure breed. Over the thousand or so millenia any surviving Half-Races have gathered together in a city they call Cresylic. The current ruler of the Half Kingdom-Nation is a Half Gold - Half Celestial Dragon named Phos. Is the only known son of Bahamut, the God of the Chromatic Dragons. Under his creed he has declared a town be constructed 1 week south of Cresylic, at a major intersection in the Trade Routes. The town is called "Crossroads".
Crossroads has been settled by all 5 warring races and some Half-Races. Those 5 Races are: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, and Gnomes. Each race has given something to the town to make it unique. The Humans, Halflings, and Gnomes have all made better houses and buildings. Utilizing unique aspects of each these buildings are not only stronger and more advanced, but they look much more exquisite and its construction time is reduced to a month per house. The Elves have contributed by sprinkling the town with seeds to very big and ancient trees. Using their magic they were able to cause most of these trees to grow to an amazing size, and build their houses amongst the treetops. Using catwalks, ripcords, and other devices of movement from tree to tree. They are easily among the biggest reasons why more and more people pass through the town every month. These trees are both magnificent and majestic and their beauty is a must see from the ground and the tree tops. The Dwarves have used their famous stone working skills to build a town and passage ways beneath the city. Hundreds of feet below the surface the Dwarves enjoy the solitude and luxury that comes from living under the ground. A couple elevators make the trip up and down from the center of their town, but that does not stop people from giving the stairs a good walk. The stairs are hand crafted from solid stone, the walls are lined in hieroglyphics that depict the latest war and leave nothing out. As a reminder of why this town was built. about 20 or so feet below the surface a side path opens up. These side paths were created to make a simple circle with a cross section of the town. This way the law enforcement of the town had easy access to almost anywhere in the town within mere minutes. The Dwarves also take credit for the wonderful stone fountain in the center of town as well as other great and wonderous works of stone that dot the town.
But alas, there are people out there that wish to see this project destroyed and will go to any length to see it destroyed....
