Top 34 WoW specs... revisited!
General
I think this is where it begins! Hi everyone, the doc is back and I'm revisiting this list because when I made it, I was a bit inaccurate with it since I hadn't played much of the specs to actually know better.
But now I am back with more knowledge on the subject and with my guild at Azuremyst EU recruiting, I got to know a few more things that kind of altered my decisions.
Now before I bore you all to death I will begin this list and even tell what rank they had before.
Lets begin.
1. Blood Death Knight (4.)
I can hear the DK players give me standing ovations for this. Blood Death Knight is by far the BEST tanking spec I have gotten play and so far it is the only spec I have been able to solo Mavis Harms with. High dodge, high defense and with a weapon with high parry, this is one beast I put at the front line of my dungeon and raid group any day. Plus, they got a passive AoE aggro call and a fast recharging aggro call ability. This is by far, my favourite spec ever... for the moment.
2. Enhancement Shaman (25.)
FUCK YEAH! Blizz must have visited my FA, because this spec got redone a bit and now it is putting out more hits and pain per second than any other DPS spec I have played. BLIZZ, I LUV YOU!
3. Balance Druid (17.)
Words can't express how much I love this spec now! So here is a link to sum it all up with music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TLDvkAOQyw
4. Windwalker Monk (8.)
Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star is all I can and need to say about this spec.
5. Restoration Shaman (24.)
Once again, I regret all I said about this spec. My god, it is even more powerful than I thought with heals. This is probably the best healing spec around if you can master it. This is why it don't get any higher, because you need to master it, but that's easy if even a dumbass like me can.
6. Protection Paladin (1.)
I still think this is one of the best specs for tanking, but recently I noticed that most enemies are pulling stuns on you now and this prevents most chances to use Lay on Hands. Otherwise this would be my top choice.
7. Shadow Priest (33.)
Just oh my god! I take back all rudeness I gave this spec. I tried it again and now I can't stop the dark side from overtaking me with its power. And for a good reason too, this spec outclasses most shadow damage dealers really. Only downside is that you got no neutral heal, so you need to waste mana to enter your dark side again.
8. Arcane Mage (7.)
This still remains the top mage spec for me. Conjure food, conjure water, output high DPS and give enemies a living hell with powerful AoE. Only downside, mana burns quickly.
9. Mistweaver Monk (3.)
I still think this is the best spec for someone who never healed before to start with. But you still got lots of work to do to take down enemies, only think is that you got a good self-heal to prevent you from dying easily.
10. Holy Paladin (14.)
I wouldn't believe it if I didn't saw it with my own eyes, but Holy became the new second choice of mine, since it is one of the best healing specs I've ever seen! Now the only problem for me will be to obtain a good healing gear to replace that garbage of Retribution armor I got.
11. Destruction Warlock (20.)
I never understood the useful nature of this spec until I saw the true destructive power of it. And with the new upcoming questline to obtain Fel Fire, this spec feels more demonic than Demonology. BLIZZ, THANK YOU! (Clockwerk: 170-220k Chaos Bolt crits are fun.)
12. Frost Death Knight (6.)
This spec is decent to be honest and follow the Fury rules. You need two sets of weapons here, but you can still use one set and survive, but you only risk to be kicked from groups because of whiny bitches.
13. Fury Warrior (5.)
First of, what the hell was I thinking? This spec is requiring you to carry two different sets of weapons. One set for questing (one-handed) and one set for PvP, dungeons and raids (two-handed). If you attempt two-handed in questing, then you are having a high risk of dying quickly. Redeeming factor? MOWER OF DEATH!!!
14. Protection Warrior (23.)
I know I was rough with this spec in my former list, but now I know better. You do have an aggro call ability which recharges fast and you are hard to steal aggro from too, since you can quickly prevent an aggro steal from happening. And you also got a timed AoE aggro call, so I was very wrong about this spec.
15. Marksmanship Hunter (11.)
If played right, this is one spec to be afraid of. The highest known damage output I know about by this spec is 340,000. This spec also benefits the upclose fighting that Hunters can now do since your hit rating is based on distance to the enemy.
16. Combat Rogue (9.)
This spec is still my favourite Rogue spec to this day. One ability that allows you to strike more enemies at once in exchange for a longer energy recharge and then change back to focus on single targets and recharge energy faster. And this is the only spec that doesn't require you to dual-wield daggers for most abilities.
17. Holy Priest (12.)
After all nerfs I noticed with this spec, this is one of the healing specs I would think is okay in a dungeon, but in a raid, stay the heck out!
18. Beast Mastery Hunter (15.)
The reason I lowered this one is because of how highly spoken it is compared to how I experienced it to be. The only redeeming factor is that you learn how to get Exotic Beasts by this spec. Otherwise this one would be even lower.
19. Fire Mage (16.)
This one is here because I noticed that this spec is a manaburner, and not only does it burn mana, the damage output is defined by what spells you choose. Have an effective rotation for this one or you won't last long in the dungeons and raids.
20. Arms Warrior (26.)
This one got a bit higher than last time because of the redeeming factor that they removed the need to keydance with your fingers so much to deal a high DPS, but the fact remains that if you want to be loved by a group, you need to learn how to keydance fast between stances.
21. Elemental Shaman (18.)
This spec have lost a bit of its charm from the fact that you barely get to use your spells because of most DPS being melee and hitting faster than you. If the cast time was lowered so you could launch spells faster, then this spec would been a lot higher.
22. Unholy Death Knight (30.)
This spec is not actually so bad. You work with keeping your diseases alive, you got your dead companion staying alive by your side until you sacrifice him to get health or until he dies.
23. Brewmaster Monk (19.)
Even if I haven't played this spec much, this is surely a letdown. You throw booze at the enemy, but like the Guardian Druid, you are easy to steal aggro from and you often end up getting kicked from a dungeon for it. Blizz, FIX IT!
24. Feral Combat Druid (13.)
I'm sorry, but this spec died on me after showing how ineffective it became in Outland where most mobs stun you. Added with a low defense, this caused a lot of rage fits for me. Also, you don't have so many multi-hit abilities either.
25. Survival Hunter (34.)
I learned to accept this spec after learning that you don't use melee weapons only for it. You even obtain some nice traps in addition to plant out.
26. Restoration Druid (21.)
Not much to say about this spec, other than I still hate you obtain the best healing from choosing two talents and can only use it for 30 seconds. Why Blizz? WHY?!?
27. Discipline Priest (2.)
You are OP until level 60, then you are slowly going weaker and weaker. And your healing is only effective when you are upclose to the enemy and then you are also risking to steal aggro.
28. Assassination Rogue (22.)
Same case as Subletly, only more focused on dealing damage. That's the only factor pushing it higher.
29. Demonology Warlock (10.)
I thought this would be one of the most awesome specs, but... you don't got any benefits other than obtaining crappy spells that only power your demon and not you.
30. Afflication Warlock (29.)
Curse, dodge, kill. Rinse and repeat. That's all I say.
31. Retribution Paladin (28.)
This spec... no matter how much I play it, it just disappoints me more and more with each dungeon when I compare it to others with the same armor as me.
32. Frost Mage (31.)
Lamest mage spec ever! I keep saying that the only way you can stay alive is by keeping your elemental alive. Best for stopping enemy flag carrier and protecting your own one.
33. Guardian Druid (27.)
This tanking spec is the easiest to steal aggro from and you can only be a tank if you are alone, otherwise you need your team to direct the enemy to you since you got only ONE aggro call ability, AND IT IS TIMED!
34. Subletly Rogue (32.)
I still think this spec is not my style. Hiding and attacking at the right moment is only the coward's way to go with actions. You will never see me play this spec again.
Also, a breakfest topic, why is it that most want to play Alliance side and not Horde? Are the combo of Wolf and Panda more appealing over Cow and Panda for some reason?
But now I am back with more knowledge on the subject and with my guild at Azuremyst EU recruiting, I got to know a few more things that kind of altered my decisions.

FA+

I promised myself no more characters though. Levelling is becoming boring ^^;
Also...
'Scuse me, but you're hell of a guy, I mean, m-m-my-my, your DPS are so high! ;3
I just never had much luck with BM Hunter. ^^;;;
And I agree, Shadow Priest is one heck of a spec!
And Brewmaster Monk was mostly because I managed to steal aggro from one the whole time. ^^;;
I need to learn to not make more characters too. ^^;;
I got my Druid, my Monk, my Warrior and my Warlock to level up now. XD
(and cows are not exactly my thing, draenei/worgen :)
Now you are lucky if you manage to even pull 50k in DPS.
Sorry to hear about what happened to you, C.
