It looks like a combination between Sonic 3D Blast and Mario Galaxy. Plus the new antagonistic monsters looks interesting enough (and a new fresh air compare to old schtick that is Robotnick). Call me somewhat intrigued.

I have a feeling that you can't rule out Robotnick/Eggman out of this game...Look at the red monster, something may have happened and he got turned into that monster...well at least thats what I think...

And I honestly did not know about Sonic Xtreme till you mentioned it. So much that I know. xD

Aw man, I was 13 when I got wind of this game back in '96. I was such a hardcore Sega fan, and I nearly lost my shit when I saw Sonic Xtreme. This was pre-mainstream internet, so all I had was pictures and hearsay. Then they were like "PSYCH! Nah, we're not bringing that out." LOL

Well, maybe this one is like the spiritual son to the Sonic Xtreme? Maybe you will get "Sonic Xtreme" after all.

Just few choice and few favors. Dreamcast is worst, but I don't counted that because it only lived for short time. Also, PS3 has more movie version than game, in my honest opinion.

I dunno, most games that Sega "makes" aren't actually made by Sega. The Sonic games are always going to be hit or miss though. As far as this game, while the Sonic Xtreme treatment blew my mind, the overall gameplay mostly made me say, "That looks...okay."

Looks like fun. And of course you don't have to play as anyone other than Sonic doing what he does best. No need to world-build. No mechanic jankiness like aping GTA or CoD. And a couple of brand new enemy characters based on something other than old Robotnik or adding to the furry critter menagerie.

Also, the rule 34 for this dropped so quick my head span.

I some how knew SEGA would never really abandon Sonic Xtreme. It had to come back in some shape or form.
Like most of the titles in the Sonic franchise.. I'm actually gotta say I cant wait to see how this game turns out.

I miss playing other characters, but Sega could almost never seem to do that correctly.
