Begin Official Husky Transmission So next Saturday the Utah humane Society will be holding a fundraiser and they would like for fursuiters to come and help out too. Jase will be there and i hope i can get a chance to meet other suiters too. If anyone is interested all of the events information can be found on the Utah furry fandom forums.

We are going to Hollywood Connection (3217 S.Decker Lake Dr. West Valley, Utah 84119 *Across from the Maverik Center*) on June 15th at 2PM-5PM where we will be providing entertainment and support for the Utah Humane Society. They will have a booth there with a collections box and adoptable animals. We will have 2- 4 suiters wearing Humane Society shirts and helping pass out flyers, engaging guests in entertaining behavior. Hollywood connection will be providing a room to use for a fursuit lounge. Fursuiters of all kinds are welcome to suit, wither they be full or partialWe want as many suiters as we can get to go, but NOTE that each suiter will be required to have a handler with them at all times. If you do not have a handler one will be provided. If one cannot be provided then you WILL NOT suit. This is required by Hollywood connection.Hollywood connection also has requirement for the fursuiters when interacting with their guests. 1. Please let the guest choose wither or not they want to interact.2. Do not pick people up and keep hands above waist of each guest.3. Polite and respectful behavior.4. Be safe.These are the same requirements they have for their own mascot.

It was brought to my attention this morning that both The Humane Society and Hollywood connection have dropped out of our event. The reason being and I quote "Some felt they were aware of a sexual connotation to the "furries" that we can not be associated with." I am not aware of how they came to this mindset and wither it was within or outside of their organizations, but it is unfortunate because we were looking to help do some good by raising money and awareness for a good cause. I have tried to set to rest some of these concerns, but they are decided and determined not to do the event with us.Mystic and I are for the most part heartbroken at this news, because we spent so much time and hard work on this event. We want to apologize to you the members for this let down and we ask that if you have the means to please attend the Orem Summerfest parade, so that at least your weekend of furry fun is not completely lost.
