Problem is that there is a little stipulation that says they can change it back whenever they want, and without any warning. So I'm guessing they hook a bunch of suckers, and then pull another 180 once they have their money.

That's a definite possibility. But in exchange for this, you no longer have the ability to have both a digital AND physical copy of the games you buy. It's either one or the other unless you buy both. And absolutely NO family sharing.

Also, that seem like an extremely bad PR move. The government can get away with stuff like that, but it often comes back to bite companies in the ass like it did EA.

family sharing wasnt as great as microsoft made it sound, it was basically giving people an hours demo of a game you were playing. just wanted to let you know this. :)

ya, they kinda already pissed me off, so I'm more then likely going PS4 now anyways. Indeed. Thou I must say. It still puzzles me to no end why Microsoft would opt to have a hundred dollar price increase over it's competition just to force the Kinect onto gamers. If more was said about the future plans for Kinect other then shovelware I could see it.

I tend to think Sony went at this generation as being a clear favorite from the start. In saying that I think both systems will sell well and if the cloud like streaming that the Xbox one is using pans out I could see this generation of game systems be more of an upgrade then just graphics.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of one specific console. They all have advantages and drawbacks. I do favor Nintendo though, but that's more of my childhood and being a massive Zelda fan.

Microsoft definitely shot themselves in the foot, and Sony capitalized on it in a big way, which was a very smart move. Getting the people pissed off at Microsoft into their corner.

The sad thing is that even though they changed it back they already lost the trust of their customer base. And they could always change it back.

Even if they say '' oh well now we fixed it cuz you guys bitch too much '' i wouldn't buy it even i they paid me. They don't have really appealing exclusives, cost alot more and where is it written that they will never try to re-implement their things back on the console? I'm not trusting them.

One less console I have to pay. Microsoft ruined it for me, therefore I will not buy their console, no matter what games they will bring out. And this "We take it back" talk does not change a thing. Microsoft is dead to me, I will not support their consoles anymore... and if Windows will continue to go down the drain as 8 did, I get Linux.
