Computer Repair, Otacon, and END TO FURLOUGHS!

Decided to go with computer repair option. Sent off my computer on Monday. It should be back this weekend. I look forward to it...SO...DAMN...MUCH!

Other good news: email came out from higher-ups at work today stating the furloughs will end with 6 total days. We're 4 days in already. 2 more and that'll be it. That 20% paycut hurt, for sure.
Now I just need that bonus. News today is that the bonus situation has been brought to the attention of the senior leadership. That bonus would be HUGELY helpful since the DC area is so much more expensive than what my cost of living increase (COLA) allows. Almost all of that though will go toward my retirement and investments as that's the area that's taken the biggest hit from living here.
With those good pieces of news, I'm able to consider attending Otacon (the biggest Anime con in the USA). It takes place about an hour away. Anyone else going? I've never gone, strongly considering it.
