That wouldn't have anything to do with the new way that FA is accepting uploads? they changed the way that they are compressing things, so it might be good to review your upload canvas sizes. I know my roomie had some issues with FA not long ago when they changed that.

If the file is bigger than 1280 pixels on either side then FA will shrink it. Either resize before hand or edit to reupload at a larger res.

It turns out that my temporary Celnet internet connection has a proxy that's recompressing images before sending them to save bandwidth. It's really super high compression and it wan't obvious because not everything was getting compressed the same way.

In fact it looked like only FA was affected.

I do. It turns out it's an unexpected recompression at the ISP end for practical reasons.

What you all are missing is that he is pointing out images he already uploaded some time ago are being re-compressed in a lossy way. These aren't new uploads, they are existing uploads that now look like shite.
