I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone on FA a very Merry Christmas (and/or celebrated holiday of your choice)! I'll be heading out in a few minutes to pick up a few last minute gifts and to prepare for tomorrow. This is going to be a special holiday for me and my family, so I want to make sure everything is just-so.

Today, December 24, also marks my character's first anniversary or birthday. I'm also going to mark it as my first year in furry, even though I lurked around a bit for about a month before and have had some previous exposure to it in my old comic book days years before.

One year later, despite exposure to all the drama and freakishness that this fandom has to offer, I'm still standing! Furry has helped me to rekindle my inner creativity and is the one community that I feel comfortable participating in, more so than any of my other interests. It's also helped me develop a more positive outlook on the challenges that come my way. In fact, its making a major family issue a bit easier to deal with right now. I'll never subscribe to the so-called "furry lifestyle" completely, but it does provide a great diversion and allows my mind to wander free for awhile!

I look forward to the start of my second year with all of you crazy critters! May you all have an amazing and prosperous New Year!
