Soooooo.... yesterday I discovered that the Shadowplay recording feature that works with my NVidia videocard can finally record from the desktop environment and not just from within a videogame and so I've done a little experiment. I have several pictures that I'd drawn over the years using the Open Canvas software and one of the great little features of the program is that anything I draw can be played back like a movie to show the drawing being created, and now that I can record the desktop environment I simply made a video of this playback which I can share via Youtube.

A couple things to note about this right now: this is my first time doing something like this so I've already made a mistake about incorporating music into the playback. In this case I've gotten a notice that my choice of music has resulted in the video being blocked in certain countries. I don't know what countries are blocked but if you encounter this please let me know as I'm curious the extent of the situation. Another thing to note is that I'm learning how to use After Effects and so in time I hope to do more of these and make them a bit nicer looking with the intro and outro bits.
