I think "Hey, that SMT guy is making a new comic!" would blunt any and all disappointment that could come from "...but the people don't have weird animal parts for some reason." Those people would be silly and wrong.

...Well, okay, first you'd have to explain that, no, you didn't mean some RPG series about summoning demons, and then explain the importance of kiwis. And maybe boot up the Wayback machine to link to the old husk of the site.

Do what you like. No matter what you do some will love it, others will hate it and some really don't care. I for one will look over what you do hurry or not and see if it something cool. So do what YOU want and I hope it good stuff.

I've loved your furry and human stuff so it's not like I would notice either way. The point would be that you're "HOLYSHIT MAKING A NEW COMIC!" more than the subject matter.

For a comic I find as long as it's well done it doesn't matter. It should be interesting regardless of whether the characters have fur or not. I've seen a lot of furry comics that were just plain boring because the entire focus was "they're furry!"

You can have the universe with both, like I do. :)

Also, since I draw three (four?) different universes, I think one of them would allow a cross-over at some point, right? :)

My advice, draw what you want if you want to draw. If you have a goal, then draw what you need to accomplish that goal. You want a popular web comic then draw what you think will make it popular. Being a furry comic in no way keeps it from being popular, Lackadaisy for instance is one of the top 20 in most rankings and you can't get more funny animal that that. Twokinds and Freefall also tend to be in the top 100 pretty consistently. The format is not that important, its what the stories are and how they are presented. XKCD is often put up near the top and it is friggin stick figures and nerd jokes but it works.

Everything you do is funny. I like the furry stuff, but the superhero stuff and the random other characters are funny too. Do what you like. I know there will be boobs. And that's all that really matters...

Draw what you like... Most of us will probably read it regardless of genre. As long as you remain your engaging and entertaining self, we'll be reading it. And that's more likely if you enjoy whatever it is you're doing.

Draw what will keep you entertained while entertaining your audience - after all - you're doing this for fun.

Draw what feels natural to the tone and story.

There's no sense in drawing what "the people" want to see, because "the people" include groups with mutually-exclusive tastes. You'll never please everyone. Never.

Draw what you like at the time, any time. Furry doesn't preclude you from drawing non-furry things and vice-versa. When you draw what you like, others who ALSO like what you're drawing will gravitate towards you, no tricks needed.

It would be nice to see you do something big like a comic again. Anything that you feel comfortable writing and drawing would be for the best, if that be furry or not is up to you, but what really matters is what you want! Keep us posted on what you decide!

Is it just you, or will your bother be involved. If the latter, you both should agree. But either way, doing something keeps the rust from developing.

I'd say the most critical thing is to keep drawing anything. And also to archive and post all the old art you've quietly dumped out of your various sites' galleries, even if this means making an Art CD to sell at cons. There's a lot of classic Brothers Grinn stuff I lost in my last hard drive wipe that I'd love to get back, and I'm totally willing to pay cold, hard cash to do so.

Mainly because you're part of the in-crowd and how you adore your fellow in-crowd artists like :blackfox85: and  badgerben - while ignoring anyone else NOT part of said in-crowd.

Drakefenwick: Even when NOT doing something you're gonna get people who've made up their minds about you on day 0. No sense in pandering to the people, it's most important that you focus on what YOU like and to hell with the haters.

I am not certain if it helps, but I don't think of myself as in-crowd or better than anyone else.
Perhaps that is not enough to sway your opinion of me, but it is my honest opinion.
