I saw this thing and it was like.. a twitter thing directed at gay guys, and it was asking them if they'd ever date a bi dude, and a lot of them said no, and it was because they thought they would be unfaithful, or because they couldn't deal with the idea of them going to a girl if they broke up with him... lol..

Because people absolutely love to erase people's sexual identities.
Pansexual seems to be a way more accepted term then bisexual for some odd reason, even though they're very similar (I wouldn't say the same thing, but they're extremely close).

It's not just a "furry" thing either, it's all over the place. People just seem to erase bi people in every sort of community. I recently saw a lesbian getting upset because her partner was bisexual, and she said "If I had known she was bi I would have never dated her - I don't want to date someone who likes taking dick." The same went for a guy who was gay.

It also implies that people who are bisexual are "loose", or sexual deviants which really obviously isn't the case at all.

I could really go on and on and on about this but the fact just remains that people who aren't super far into queer culture or the likes view being either straight or gay as the only sexualities out there, and if you're bisexual you're greedy and a slut, and you just don't know what you want. They'll automatically assume that you're one or the other because otherwise you're not faithful and you're out to sleep with everybody.

Yeah, same! Like, who cares what your significant other is into as long as they're into you? I understand being insecure, but the more you grow up the more you should realize that if someone decides to settle down and very obviously be in a monogamous relationship with you, they're not gonna cheat. The way she said that came off as not only transphobic but extremely controlling as well and is just downright fucking disgusting.

Yeah.. Bi people can be (and usually are.. >>) monogamous too, and people that freak out just 'cause their (potential) partner is bi are dumb and don't deserve to have a partner. |:C

I'm a combination of pansexual and... multinagmous, for lack of a better word? I normally do monogamy just fine, and I'm loyal as can be, but if I fall in love with two people at the same time, and they happen to fall in love with each other and me as well, I work just fine in poly too. Regardless, I'm loyal to my partner(s). In fact, as a poly person, I get people who're like "YEAH WANNA MAKE IT A FOUR WAY?". Total strangers think they can join into an established relationship, barely knowing one of them, and not knowing the others. It's ridiculous.

Bisexual.

As a bisexual I experience a lot of bi-erasure and biphobia in the society.
It's super frustrating to be told that since I am bi "I can choose to be normal" or that I "have to choose a side!" and I need it to end, preferably right now.

I'm so sorry, dude. I really am.. You don't have to choose anything. You've "chosen" to be comfortable loving both sexes, and that's fantastic! I really don't think you can choose to be bisexual anymore than you can choose to be gay, or you can choose to be straight. :x
