Hello again, guys!
TL;DR: MY FELINE IS HURTING AND I WANT TO RAISE MONEY TO TAKE HIM TO THE VET.
I finally came home for the holiday after a year of being away and found my feline bestie in a state of...not necessarily neglect, but misery. Ever since I left for college three years ago, he's been sad but I always came to visit. However due to work I was not able to visit, and he's been depressed the entire time I've been away.
In this time, he has managed to sit around and not do anything day after day, even with my mom attempting to get him out of this problem phase.
Today I came home to find him with matted fur, claws grown into his pawpad (which my sister and I removed after a lot of numbing and neosporin and crying). Since his lungs are premature already and his sinuses are poor, he threw up blood when we tried to give him medicine. Even though we treated his paws and have been brushing out his knots, I'm still very worried for his health and potential depression.
This journal really has no point aside from me being sad and giving an update, but I'll probably be opening more YCH-auctions after I finish finals next week to raise money to send my mom so he can be a little better for the holidays. Forever miserable for my best friend.
