-I see a lot of journals & tweets posted about the fact that FA has been sold off to Entertainment conglomerate " IMVU ".
Some of them are utterly REDICULOUS, with the whining, crying, and emo tantrums that i'm reading. Shit happens. There no need to cry over spilled milk.
If FA sticks around and IMVU decides to keep it running as it is, then good. If IMVU decides to eventually turn it into a money-making scheme by charging fees to users, or they decides to open it up into a porno free-for-all, or they decides to re-write it entirely, or they dissolves it into their collective, the list goes on but there is no point in so many people worrying or getting upset. Many people depend on FA and have wrapped their lives around it so badly its retarded.
Again, Shit happens. Other furry sites have come and gone over the years, Furnation, Yerf, the list goes on. Some survive to thrive, some die.
I don't plan on leaving FA or stop posting here as so many others have claimed to do over un-founded worries and concerns.
There "are" other places many of us are located, including Weasyl, Facebook, Twitter, DeviantArt, Ink Bunny, this list too goes on.
If FA do turn into some Barbie Doll floozy Flea Market or get assimilated into the IMVU Borg Collective, I will still be on my other sites listed below, so if your worried that the world will end if any of that happens to FA then add me & find me on these listed below. If FA do go, then i will simply become much more active on those listed below.

Oh, and I am glad they are an American-based company, and not some shady corporation located in China.

- FA has nothing approaching "chat" capability
- IMVU's entire concept is "Chat" (and they have a plethora of ways of micro-transacting the heck out of it)
- FA has a HUGE furry user base
- IMVU has furry avatars
- If IMVU can lure even a portion of the furries on FA to do their chatting on IMVU . . . PROFIT!!
- Add a "IMVU Chat" link within the FA top options (like the "submit" or under the drop down like the "Journals" selection). This would make it easier to get to their chat, than to use some of their competitors.
- Since they're "buying in" to a service with Mature and Adult categories, add similar filter mechanisms to their IMVU chat capabilities
They might not want to go "full monty" with the avatars, at least not immediately. But that doesn't stop what you type.
Since they have a HUGE number of "credit schemes", they could offer some of one sort or another of those credits to folks who come to them from FA.
And, as far as those who tried them and left - look at the number of "newbies" arriving on FA every day! Bet that a lot of the newcomers are new to both FA and IMVU. Even if many of them flee the IMVU after looking it over, that still a second potential stream of entries than just from IMVU alone.

Dragoneer has not come forward with the full text this quote has come from, and has not denied its existence. As a writer who makes scant little already, I can't afford to have something like this. I already got burned when a story I posted was followed by a movie with an extremely similar plot a few years later and a lawyer basically told me there was nothing I could do.
And yeah, releasing the full agreement would be the only real way to put everyone at ease.. or at a panic.
That document does not exist, and that line was made up, plain and simple. While IMVU *does* have the right to show screenshots of the site, it doesn't have the right to redistribute the content.
Everybody's citing this "page 9" but nobody's linked to the document to cite their source. Why? Because it doesn't exist.

As for everyone freaking out about the whole IMVU thing, please, the drama needs to be dropped, it's not a big deal, so ownership has changed hands, unless they do something really stupid like trying to charge for use of the site, nothing should change. (( my opinion only ))

People just want another reason to complain about FA. They need to give it a rest.
People are ridiculous
Nothing will change aside from more ads from IMVU. Have some faith in the site. It's not being sold. No rules will change. If anything major changes and we don't like it. Enough complaints and it'll revert back to normal. Quit complaining because IMVU was partnered since January and nothing has change aside from *gasp* more IMVU ads :0 jeez. Look up the Q&A from dragoneer on the forums.
