The pokemon choice experiment.
I haven't told many about this, but a long time ago I did a personal experiment where I took a zip file of all of the sugimori art of pokemon from generation 1-5, why not 6? because it wasn't in the file, and at the time I couldn't find a single zip of all the images.
anyways, I had taken the folder and organized all the images into 5 groups based on a 1-5 scale of inflationary preference, each folder named: "nah","maybe","sure","totally","absolutely". essentially the idea was if asked if you would inflate the pokemon in question, what would your response be?
the result were surprising to me, with how out of the 600 or so, maybe 100 I'd actually care to inflate. but along with that it revealed where my general interests when it comes to preferred subjects lie as well, what traits I find appealing, what species I tend to favor, etc.
I got
glitch50 to give it a go and he had a vastly different selection than I did. compared to mine he ranked more armored pokemon higher than I did, he likes the idea of subjects being under a large amount of pressure, and feels that an inflated aggron or tyrannitar would likely contain several hundred pounds of air pressure if inflated like a balloon.
ziggyfox also gave a remark on my folder about how Virzion, a pokemon that is fairly popular as inflation candidates go, is ranked rather low in my list of preferences.
I find this to be an interesting psychological experiment in regards to the inflation fetish, and I've brought it up because I'd like to see you all give it a shot yourselves. my folder is in this link:

You can use that as a base, as the folders are all there.
the "Female" folder was actually already in the file, it just contains some of the art for pokemon with gender differences in their sprites.
I'd ask that when you make your folders that you adhear to a 1-5 scale, you can add a rank 0 folder or pokemon you would absolutely never do, even if you were commissioned for it.
glitch50 made an "absolutely not" folder that predictably contains jynx and mr. mime.
with all that said, I'd like to see what your results are, so send me your zipped folder with the link and I'll add it to the dropbox. and if you have any comments to make about mine, feel free to share it on here.

I mostly favoured the final stage evolutions over the pre-evolutions because I prefer the more "mature" pokemon over the "cute" pokemon.
I was surprised how many pokemon wound up in the nah category. Which were either pokemon I had a personal dislike for like Zubat or just I couldn't see how they would be inflated like Klink.
Overall, most of my choices were of the more bipedal type of pokemon with a few unusual choices thrown in.
Looking at the choices you made, It looks like you mostly favoured the final evolution pokemon, though I was surprised you ranked Machamp so high. Was there a reason you ranked so many pokemon in the "Nah" category? Was it mostly aesthetic or was it a personal dislike of the pokemon in question?
