"It's a journal from Summercat! And he writes:"

"I previously had a job where I was involved in making quality control decisions for components used in commercial aircraft. I often thought about Bob Eberling whenever I needed to make a decision unpopular with the management."
For thirty years, Bob Eberling had felt that he had failed, and lived nearly the rest of his life with the guilt of the Challenger explosion of 1986.
Yet the above quote, from a commentator on Fark, shows what I think Mister Eberling finally accepted: There was no more he could have done than what he did.
I shall take two lessons from this:
1) The truth is sometimes unpopular, but it needs to be said.
2) If I have done all I could do, and the decision is not in my hands, then I should not carry that guilt.
Goodnight. I shall see y'all later.
