they arent evne hurting they're just...crumbling. apparantly new teeth are very vulnerable to stuff cuz wow they're impacted AND fullaholes. and im too terrified ot do anything about it roflmao

oh godd that sucks. careful that they dont get infected! im terrified too but unfortunately shit like this just seems to get worse the longer you wait... considering smashing them all and getting dentures tbh

Yeah, unfortunately, it does tend to get worse. I wasn't able to get my wisdom teeth pulled right away back when they came through, had to wait almost a year to get them taken out, and it was awful, and also left the teeth in my lower jaw perpetually fucked up. I'm in the same boat of really just wanting to get some teeth pulled and get dentures too. X_x;

My advice to you is to try taking anti-inflammatory pain meds for now, like ibuprofen or naproxen (Aleve). Initial pain from wisdom teeth tends to be from inflammation, so they can help at early stages. That'll only last for so long though...

And I'm going to second the people telling you to call/shop around. The sooner you can get them out, the better. I don't mean to scare you, but I don't want to sugarcoat things either...I wouldn't wish what I went through with mine on anyone else.

don't worry, just get a fifth of whiskey, some pliers, and a bag of cotton balls. you'll figure it out.

(in all seriousness, that sucks so much. i recommend mashed potatoes because they're delicious, soft, and have all the nutrients needed to survive!)

was way more pleasant than I originally thought but holy shit was it painful afterwards, stitches were supposed to be taken out today too v.v

I mean I don't know if they would use it for the mouth, but I know of these kinds of stitches that dissolve over time, instead of having to get them removed. You may not even notice them.

Those are the kind they used for me when I got my wisdom teeth removed, and that was nearly 10 years ago, so yeah. Also I was so loopy from them putting me under and from the pain meds they gave me after (plus the relief of the teeth being gone) that the stitches didn't even bother me.

I had mine out when I was 16. I was lucky enough to have a dentist that used stitches that dissolved on their own after a couple days. Wasn't too painful either.

I had mine removed a few years ago and it does suck. Honestly, it will probably be a cost that needs to be paid anyway. If you leave it then you have to deal with pain (usually through meds, aka $$$) and you can risk further complication that will likely require more surgery to fix. The surgery will suck and the recovery can be worse but it's pain that will need to be suffer through anyway and the quicker it gets done, the quicker it's over.

to get my 4 removed it was like 450 bucks each lol but I absolutely had to get it because one of them caused a pretty bad infection and I couldn't close my mouth. The surgery itself isn't painful I got the anesthetic shot thing. which helped so much. The worst part is the recovery. Ugh it sucks, it's hard to eat and your jaws will be sore for like a week and a half. MAKE THEM GIVE YOU SOME PAINKILLERS AND STEROIDS. serious. On top of that I had to use an antibiotic mouthwash that made everything taste really bad.

IT FUCKIN SUCKS.

It's gonna be pricey but it's totally worth it and the recovery isn't AS BAD as people make it out to be I swear haha.
Just take good care of your mouth and you will be okay! ;U;

I would suggest filling a bottle up with room temp water and adding a bit of salt and gargling it a few times every day.
It will help fight off infection until you can get them removed and hopefully soothe some of the pain for you. <3

Yeah, people keep saying the recovery is bad but I think it varies from person to person. My recovery was a breeze, the only ill effects I remember is the pain meds making me loopy, which caused me to be overly emotional about the dumbest things (like after my mom took me home and had me take a nap, when I woke up I wanted to ask my mom a question, but she wasn't home, so my response was to start bawling and go back to bed, lol).

I know the feels.... In two years, I've fractured both lower wisdom teeth and had them removed. The second time, I actually went to the ER at some bugger all hour of the morning because I was in so much pain the second time around. It took two hours both times to have the teeth removed, but the dentist was awesome though and used huge amounts of freezing.

I don't have insurance. I have medicare but it doesn't cover dental

Had to get mine pulled out... All of them... Wasn't a very fun experience :/ and it wasn't even the surgery itself, but the recovery is just awful, I will say this though, once you've recovered you're gonna feel so much better and you'll be glad you went through it

I can attest to that. It is totally worth it.

You can always call around to make sure there isn't someone in your area that does free consultations, or if they do a "sliding scale" charge, it will go off of your income.

Even if you just call someone to ask about those things and they can't answer, they will usually gladly refer you to someone else.

the solution is pretty siple usually and that is just pullign them and extractions are usually cheap... unless, they are impacted.

Indeed they are. I needed mine out over a decade ago, but now I don't think I can afford it. I wish I had gotten them out and over with back then.

Had all mine done at once, then I got dry socket. It was bad.

Had all four pulled a few years ago. Had to do constant blood spitting and swishing salty water but, glad they are out.

if it makes you feel better, I got some sick pain in my ankle since yesterday. Constant pain, and I have a phone phobia so I can't call the doctor myself xD Parents refuse to call cus they don't think its very serious, but it probably is.

Started swelling a bit <\3 I might have like, little fractures or cuts on the bone. I have fragile bones..

Get better though! I'm hoping that I personally don't have to deal with my wisdom teeth. My dad didn't have to so I'm hoping I got that trait from him haha.

$112?! Wow... my consult (without insurance) was $1. A local office who is an AWESOME dentist runs a special year-round for new patients to have an emergency consult for a dollar. That includes a panoramic x-ray and photos.

Without insurance my lower wisdom teeth and lower back molars getting pulled would be $2600. I start having dental insurance on Sunday though, will find out next week how much it's going to cost. Already have the appointment for the procedure set on the 11th.

I remember my wisdom teeth, those fuckers. I had a shard left in my mouth after the main surgery that I had to get removed a few months later for risk of infection.

ah, the design assumptions of the human body! at this point, you're supposed to have taken enough tooth losses that these are welcome replacements, but we modern people have no room for them to fit. It's not so bad, make up a bunch of soup + soft foods beforehand and plan on laying on the couch for a week.

Oh, yeah. You got to CHOOSE! I had to because braces are assholes and my mouth was too damn small for my teeth XD. Well, and they already saw how shitty they were gonna come in so I guess it was for the best. Hope you don't have to suffer for too long. What I recommend are a few days of smoothies (stock up on frozen fruit, milk, and yogurt depending how you like 'em) and mashed potatoes/mac+cheese. That's how I survived pretty much XD. It'll probably suck but it subsides fairly quickly and they'll NEVER BOTHER YOU AGAIN! #Woo Wisdome teeth? *pssh* WHO NEEDS EM!? AMIRITE? :P
