Contemplating Commissions
So I like to write and I have even had a fairly good string of success in getting off my scalie butt and writing recently. Curious if anyone might be interested in giving me some ideas to write and maybe paying me for said ideas. Payment upon completion and more than likely a pay what you think it is worth set up. Any thoughts or ideas on this people?
Also it's very trusting of you to do a pay what you like on delivery setup. It might be a good idea to set some kind of expectation ahead of time so people know what kind of range you're expecting.
Here's hoping you find a process that works for you because it would be interesting to see more of your writing!
As for the stories, I usually write until it is done and I really have no major desire to turn this into a money making thing, maybe just some extra commission cash if that makes sense. Now if people are wanting a novel might have to put a hold on that.
For the most part planning on doing some smaller stories for folks and if there is a longer idea I wouldn't mind taking it on if I like it.
And thanks for explaining your feelings here. This does sound reasonable for more casual writing, kind of like the Writing Jams you arranged (that was a cool thing for you to do, by the way). I'll be interested in seeing what ideas you get, and depending on how things go might pitch in one or two myself!
