Fur-st entry. (Har Har!)
It seems somewhat inappropriate to begin my first journal entry with a long-winded rant, so in lieu of that, I shall revel for a while in the memory of my extended birthday celebration.
The celebration began on the actual day of my birth, February first. My girlfriend arrived on the first, and after some public merrymaking with our friends, things went to a more... Personal celebration, the details of which I will not divulge here.
*grins at the memory and chuckles*
Rest assured though that it was as loving and exciting a reception as may be expected between two vulpine lovers who've not seen one another in weeks.
In any event, the next day I was not feeling well, so I skipped class, and MORE partying went on once I was feeling better. That evening, my girlfriend and I went up to my house in the mountains and had dinner with my parents. We found, to our dismay, that I had misplaced our large bag of contraceptives so our night was not as exciting as it may have been, though the fun did last longer...
The following morning, I drove up north to pick up an old friend, a wonderful girl indeed, and then we all returned to my abode and played games until the sun went down. It was then that I found that the last party was not arriving that night due to unforseen circumstances, so we began the festivities in full, serving the cake and opening the presents that were so lovingly wrapped. We all ate cake and played video games late into the night, then all three of us left standing once midnight tolled retired to my bed for rest.
The following day, the missing party had arrived, bringing with them tales of their adventure, which, though eventful and exciting are not for my lips, or fingers to tell. Both of my friends seemed drained by the ordeal, and if they had not seen fit to only stay for a short while, I would've offered my bed and insisted they get some sleep. Still, we made merry until such a time as the festivities were forced to end, for no matter how merry the occasion, there will be a time when responsibilities catch up. Such was the time, and my heart was heavy to see my friends go.
Then it was just myself and my girlfriend, holding one another in the wake of the party, each basking in the other's presence. Then came the time for our own departure, and we began the trek to her home first. As I held her in my arms, now only a few hours ago, I kissed her lips and although I knew I would see her in but a few more days, I knew it would feel like an eternity.
So it was that I came here, to my dormroom, where I toiled over my homework, which I have yet to finish. I plan to inform the professor that I was sick, which is quite true, and deal with the rest in the morning.
So, until my next post, whenever that may be...
Farewell, wherever you fare, my fair furry friends and fine fuzzy companions.
May love warm your heart when the winter of indifference threatens.
