I've been doing the wrong things~

Haha Yea I've been kind of dumb with art. I beat myself up over stuff when I know what to do.
I gotta do more shape and body studies, one thing I never did was sit and draw, like with pencil, paper, never really drew something over and over
Its always a hail marry and hope it comes out great. Those Horace pics, Roger? I drew both those dudes everyday for nearly a week. when I started, Oh boy I don;t wanna tell you what it was like when I started haha. They looked awfull, like a todler did it.
Now when people in person ask what kind of stuff I draw I give them a one line horace in less than 30 seconds.
Gotta stop beating myself up when I don't know how to do something. Find some one who does and do what they do over and over until you get it

I try to look at everything I don't like about my drawing to be something I steer away from.
Some times it helps just to take a piece of art some one has done, in a style you like, and doodle it side by side, over and over and over and over until that artist's proportions, shapes become apart of your process subconsciously. You'll develop your own unique voice automatically, it isn't something you find, it finds you. Copying the greats is what the greats themselves did. Imitation is the first step to mastery
Keep doing it over and over and over, dont worry that your copying something, your hand, eyes and mind are learning the right amount of everything needed to acomplish replicating without looking later
I've been drawing since I was 11 but I never took it seriously, when Im shown what to do I can do it quickly but Its hard to retain all that finesse
