I lean towards hybrid cocks, but it kind of depends on the species, really. Canine and equine elements, like knots or medial rings, are perfectly fine. But in the case of cats (barbs) or sharks (bifurcated), those are just so weird that I generally don't do them. Everyone's tastes are different, though. I'd say just figure out what kind you personally like to draw. ^___^

It depends on the character and artist for me. Some artists don't do animal stuff well so it looks way off regardless, and some artists draw human stuff very very well, so it looks good regardless.

In the case of a comic, whatever you do I'd keep it consistent throughout.

Both have their place, but the exotic nature of furry art lends itself to nonhuman dongs, too. Makes it all feel more special, more unique.

Of course, it also depends on the character. Canines and equines need their respective anatomical correctness, but stuff like Bucks and Cows could benefit from humanization as their peens are just thin, lightly tapered rods.

Only time humanish cocks are okay is if they have a sheath and are cut style... Since there is a sheath already there would be no reason for a human foreskin. They look weird with foreskin on a furry character, or even worse foreskin with a sheath looks double weird and doesn't make any sense for a furry character (sheathception).

A little of both? Too animal is weird for some real species so it helps to make it a blend of both. And then there's fantasy dicks on stuff like dragons, gryphons, and sergals and the like where it's fine for it to be less human so long as it isn't outrageously alien looking. I guess a mixture of both is most common.

The way I prefer furry and how I work all my characters is that they got what makes them furry, the anthropomorphism, but I add just enough human traits to stick to things I'm used to and fit the anthro scale beyond just standing on two legs. It's why all my guys have human-like hands, feet and penises, with some other traits depending, such as ho my dog has a typical dog tongue but m felines have tongues that are not scratchy and rough like normal feline tongues. So, yeah, I'm a human-dongs-on-furries kind of person.

I'm strange. Horse, Dragon, and Canine are fine with me, but other ones are creepy and I prefer human on them.
