People go about things in their own way (pronouns)

This is something I talked about on Twitter, but I want to mention it here as well because it's important.
I saw a post encouraging "cis"* people to also list out their "personal pronouns" so that it makes it easier and to "normalize it."
I can understand their mindset... but everyone has their own reasons for showing it or not.
For me, I simply don't like "preferred pronouns". I know why others do it, and I respect them for it. But I personally don't care to say it. I will simply say "I'm a female/girl/woman" since the vast majority of people will know what I'm talking about. Some of my trans friends feel the same way, and I'm sure even more I don't know of feel the same, too.
So if I was made to put something into my profile I didn't want there, it wouldn't feel like "me" anymore. Words are being used for me.
(I DO know there are people who will say "I'm a girl but I use he/his" pronouns!" ...and that's fine! Again, you do you. But me saying "I'm a female" and leaving it at that, people will know what pronouns to use in that case. Also I will get pretty mad if you try to say I can't use "female" for MYSELF. I like calling myself a female, as that's what I am.)
Then there's those "cis" people who have been TOLD they can't say what their preferred pronouns are, so they don't, because they are afraid to upset people about it (I specifically saw at least two people under the post say this).
And then there's those people who simply don't want their sex/gender to be known, so it's kept completely secret.
You're valid for wanting your pronouns known, but others are also valid for not wanting to go in that direction and using their own way.
Please remember everyone is their own individual and that means we all think differently.
Thank you.
*I still don't like the term "cis" simply because I was introduced to it in a mocking way, making it sound like an insult instead of a descriptor. May take me a while to be okay with the term.

Why is that such a hard concept for some people to grasp. :(
Also I agree with the "cis" thing. I was introduced to it being used mostly in a mocking or negative way. :/
You do you ~ <3
but yep, same with the cis thing. :/
