Maybe the reason why aliens haven't visited us is because before they uncovered the technology capable of traversing that far in so little time they have instead digitally transcended the existence of a physical body and now have no need to travel at all.
Or this is a hologram and what you see is what you get.
I often wonder about those pentagon files that were released featuring encounters pilots had on video with UFOs.
The first thing that comes to mind is speed, gravity and size.
They don't seem to be very big
They defy the limitations of aerodynamics
and ..well..Gravity.
So here's a theory.
It's fine to break the rules of aerodynamics if you've somehow figured out a means of manipulating mass and its interactions with gravity. atmosphere be damned - if you can do that you can also move that fast without burning the earth to a crisp in a second
( see Relativistic Baseball - https://what-if.xkcd.com/1/ )
The problem I think most people would come down to is how could anything alive be in something that small, survive what ever methods are needed to create zero mass or deflect gravity(which I wanted to misspell "Grabbity" heh) AND defy the conservation of momentum and not be turned into jello when these things move - HOW can they be piloted?
Well. besides these aliens already being made out of jello...When we visit other planets do we send people or machines? Machines. Which seems more likely an explanation than anything else.
Aliens are not visiting our earth, Drones are (maybe?) A machine would be a better occupant than a living thing inside some sort of mass defying impossible machine and G-constrains are a lot better with robots. Heck, The people that built them don't even need to be alive anymore. They could of been roaming the galaxy for millions, billions of years, automated to explore but not contact continuing as they were programmed regardless of if there is anyone still listening.
Who fucking knows. I'd fuck an alien, thats what I'm getting at.
How are you anyway?

Well, alien fucking is the main reason I liked District 9, possibly, maybe.
