I've been looking at traffic numbers on my SLOP comic's website, checking out the monthly traffic reports as I often do and found myself trying to gauge how many regular readers I really have. That's not easy from the traffic report. I mean...I know I have over 300,000 hits just in this month alone...nearly 13,000 visits by 4600 or so unique sites. For a lot of reason you can't draw a solid readership number from those.

A few hits come from the links to SLOP I post when I upload a new page here. I have more comments here per page than I often get on the comic's forum. So how many people read SLOP here?

Well, I've 436 watchers at the moment. I'm sure many of those watchers are there to see my art--or stand alone art. So not all 436 are really readers of my webcomic. How many of y'all are at least casual readers?

I won't get an accurate count just asking. Not everyone reads artist journals. Not everyone will comment. Still, regular readers raise a paw/hoof/claw/tentacle/flipper or what have you.

I think I'll repeat this process when I post the next page here. Basically put a FAV if you're a regular reader tag at the bottom.
