Backgrounds are just gonna be part of the price, and if you don't want one, it will just give me more time to spend on the character rendering.

all right then, that's pretty much what I'd do then. Not usually a fan of backgrounds unless the artist has an idea for something relevant.

I have to get a good understanding of how much of the image I need to redraw and charge it as a %.

So if lets say, you want an alternate image of a chick with spooge on her opposed to dry, thats super minor, might be $5-$10 thing depending on the volume. If you wanted an alternate outfit, with a different expression with new boobs and all, thats like 80% of the character, so I'd have to charge so. I hope that makes sense. A bigger pain of tits by themselves as an alt isn't too much.
