Fraggle Droppings.
So a little over 3 weeks ago, I finally had to get a cellphone... mostly for my job, but it also gave me an actual reason to do it. Until now, I’ve only had a landline. I’m not completely moronic when it comes to working this thing, but joining this scene so far into the game does make for feelings of overwhelming-ish-ness. It keeps telling me it wants some WiFi of which I don’t readily have access to. Anyhoo, I like this guy. 🐸 He sorta reminds me of someone.
There are now only 2 people left on the planet who don’t have a cell and/or smartphone/device. 🐸
I’ll try not to flood the Interweb with too many fraggle photos. 🍔

You can turn off some things, like the wifi searcher, but be careful, if you shut off some things the evil powers that should NOT be punish you.
I turned off my "tracking location stalking thingy" so now google doesn't work.
*Shrug*
Prooooobably gonna have to change that, though. A lot of businesses are using smartphones as part of their physical distancing procedures (e.g. dentists offices where you sit in the parking lot instead of the waiting room and they summon you using an app). I can see the value in that.
The best thing about a land line is that calls can't follow me when I leave my house, so I enjoy my time without distraction. :)
A friend asked me how I check the weather without a smart phone. I told him that I just look up - it's more accurate! They seems confused by that.
I actually miss my old landline and still have the cordless phone. If I still had it, I could call my cellphone whenever I lose it in my house.
But having a smartphone isn't that bad I suppose. I mostly treat mine like a MP3 player. Heck, I'm typing this message up while on my phone. Check into getting a Bluetooth for your phone if you're up to it.
(Be careful though - some songs can take up a lot of space in your phone.)
Bluetooth is helpful whenever you don't want to hold the phone close to your head all of the time, or if you don't want to constantly put people through the speaker.
