hey nerds

I've seen my first instance of "No Humans on FA"
don't get me wrong, I understand the... core, I suppose, of their argument. I suppose it is rather strange to come onto a website geared towards furries and furry artists and find someone with a gallery that's literally just human art. and I can understand what they were saying about finally feeling like they have a place they can feel safe and express themselves and being happy to not be ridiculed for being a furry because they usually are in their day-to-day
but when you start saying shit like "Only Furries" and "No Humans Allowed" it gets kinda weird to me...
Like, we're all just looking for a place to do what we love. And the majority of the galleries that I've seen have been filled with have been like.... 99% furry and furry focused art. I've seen maybe one or two artists who do mostly human art. And they still offer to do furry art for commissions and the like.
I don't know. I get it, but I don't get it at the same time. maybe I'm thinking too much about it.

Like a lot of fetishes are more accepted here which is why they may flock here.
As we all as just your average human artist coming here to probably expand on drawing animals.
You honestly don't see really any human art here. And I mean like just a normal human, not human faced.
That is true, I suppose. I hadn't really thought about it that way. But then that just makes it more confusing to me as to why someone would go out of their way to say that humans aren't allowed. Especially if the situation is one that isn't incredibly harmful or against ant ToS. Everyone is just trying to find a place they can fit in and be comfortable.
I think the only normal human art (that is so strange to say still lmao) that I've seen has mostly just been portraits for people to use as IDs, or references for DnD character that happen to be more human in appearance.
I'm not sure if I have seen these portraits honestly xD
That's what I'm sayin'! Like, it's so rare to run into human art, Actual human art and not just human-faced nekomimi and the like, but this person was kinda acting like it was a plague that was taking over FA which isn't true at all. Unless they're also counting human-faced anthro characters. I didn't think to ask, honestly.
I'd just put it behind you and let them be all stormy with themselves xD
It's rediculus to think this place would ever become a human 'infested' art site.
Most human artists I know are repulsed by this site, so uhh yeah lmao.
Lmao most people I know who aren't even artists are like, you're hanging out on where now? And while I know DA has definitely chased a lot of people off, I don't think they'd all come flocking here if they weren't interested in the furry community in some way.
But yeah, I did worry for a fraction of a second before I realized that, honestly, if someone is going to be mad at my human-based writing then they can just not read it. I'll be writing furry based things too, so there's no reason to get too mad at me specifically. I think I'm just always ready to assume someone is mad at me for something I haven't even done yet. Definitely need to work on that.
Yeah, honestly, it's their own problem, so let them deal with it. You've done nothing wrong!
I genuinely don't have a problem with it, and a lot of my initial story ideas are mostly filled with humans as it's only recently that I've gotten myself into the community. And like, while I get that some people might be a little upset (If that's even the word I'm looking for) it was just kinda jarring to see someone pretty much saying that if you identify as a human or do human art you should be forced to leave the site. Shit like "FA 4 Furries" just makes me uncomfy as a person.
(´・ω・`)
Yeeeeah
Even though I love their art I've unfollowed them cause at this point they won't stop saying stuff like that. And it makes me wonder now how many other people think that way.
Naaah it's cool. I'm used to feeling uncomfy
(=´∇`=)
Some people just think that way. And, eventually, it affects how the rest of the world views them and the change is noticeable. I just hope that eventually they work through whatever makes them feel that way and lash out the way they are. Or at least find a way they can exist comfortably.
