As a canine fan, I agree with sliding the genetics slightly closer to dogs on the DNA tree.

Yes we must completely swap all cats to their superior races yes :3

Hyena's aren't closer to dogs, they're just have physiological similarities.

Hence being closer, as they evolved down paths that selected those traits.

Go change a portion of the Canidae representation to Feliformia. The abundance of wolves, dogs and foxes will do well to increase the feliforma represenation, which includes hyenas ;)
