2021 New Years Resolution
Ahhh, 2021. That just feels refreshing to type out. I remember being excited for 2020, just cause it was fun to type out. Now that 2020 is a smoking pile of rubble behind us, its time for a new resolution.
Last year my resolution was to be much more active on Patreon, and I think that worked well. I have been much more active and reliable there, and I'm certainly proud of it!
This year I have a few improvements I'd like to make, mostly as an extension of the previous goal. First, I want to improve the higher tiers. I made a post in November or so about doing more for the $10 tier, and I started posting stuff from my non-vore account for those at that tier. I like that benefit, so this year I'll refine it and start posting that content more regularly.
Second, I'd like to post more public content. Since the vast majority of my content contains NSFW themes, I have to make it a 'patreon only' post (its actually part of the rules there). I'll either make more SFW content, or make a SFW version of the posts. I'd like to do this because a visitor really only sees a bunch of blurred out locked content until they subscribe, so I'd like that to change. I think I'll make it a goal of 1 free post per month.
Third, I have considered posting the same paid content to SubscribeStar. I have wondered if the extra flexibility would be attractive. I would not move to SubscribeStar, I still like the Patreon platform, but I have had patreons leave stating they didn't like Patreons services. If I added SubscribeStar, I would do the same $1 and $5 tiers with the same benefits, while the $10 and $20 would stay exclusively at Patreon. (If I do this, you would only need to subscribe to one, not both).
So those are just improvements that I'd like to do. Now for the new resolution: I'd like to draw more. Like hand draw, not render. At the art school I'm attending it was noted that I should work on my sketching, and what better place to do that than on my online pages?
The problem is I don't have a 'style'. I have struggled to find a style that I enjoy doing, that looks good, and that comes naturally. I have been feeling good about some of my anatomy, though I struggle a lot with heads, especially animal heads. I'd love to do drawings of anthros, but my drawings of my own characters have been mixed at best. At some point, though, I'd like to start offering sketch requests and commissions.
Here's to a much better year. Now all we gotta do is smile, wear our masks, and not start any more dumpster fires and we'll be able to celebrate 2022 like it was 2019 (or...insert any normal year prior to 2020).
